On September 1, 2016, Facebook introduced the instant video feature in its Messenger application. With the addition of this feature, users can now interact directly with others in real-time. No longer do users need to type messages on their smartphone screens—now they can connect face-to-face through video.

Last year, Twitter and Facebook joined forces with more than 30 news organizations and technology companies to tackle the spread of fake news, aiming to improve the quality of information shared on social media platforms.

As part of its ongoing ‘YouTube Pop-up Space’ program, YouTube officially launched YouTube Space Jakarta on September 8. This initiative aims to support the creative community in Indonesia. YouTube Space Jakarta is equipped with four rooms: a studio, a lounge, a meeting room, and an editing room. In addition to providing video production tools, YouTube will also offer various classes, workshops, and sharing sessions with experts.
