AdWords Drag-and-Drop Report Editor Released
After being introduced last year, Google AdWords has now made available to AdWords users a new reporting concept with the Drag ‘n Drop Editor. When you log into your AdWords platform, you’ll find a new user interface with the Report Editor, and don’t worry, Google provides an interactive tutorial within it.
Buy Button Now Available in Mobile Ads
After much anticipation by advertisers, Google has finally added the Buy Button feature to their mobile Ads in AdWords. This feature allows shoppers to be directed straight to the product page and complete the transaction from there. However, at present, this feature is still limited to a few select retailers.
YouTube 360-Degree Video Ads
To capture your customers’ attention and enhance their experience with ads, YouTube has introduced a new ad format featuring 360-degree videos. This allows you to deepen engagement with your audience. Viewers simply need to move their mouse or tilt their mobile devices to view the video from different angles – a fun new way to enjoy ads. This format is now available on Chrome and the YouTube app for Android and iOS.
WordPress Update Version 4.2.3
Last week, WordPress launched an update to version 4.2.3. This update was quite surprising because the security patch implemented caused several plugins to stop working optimally. So, if you are using WordPress with auto-update, now is the time to check your site.
Facebook Introduces Live
Facebook has a new feature that allows public figures and celebrities to host live streaming sessions with the Facebook Mentions app. This feature, called Live, is currently only available to influential people. It works similarly to Periscope and Meerkat, which have already gained widespread use. Facebook believes that in the future, Live will be seen as an authentic way to connect with public figures you admire in real-time.
Google Plus Integration Discontinued
Google Plus has recently announced that integration with other Google products will soon be discontinued. The first integration to be terminated is the integration with YouTube. So, if you previously needed Google Plus to create a channel, comment, and have every post appear on Google Plus, this integration can now be stopped. However, don’t rush to delete your Google Plus profile just yet, as this change will only be implemented next month.
