There have been numerous updates throughout April and early May from some of the biggest social media platforms. Below, we’ve summarized a few key updates worth your attention.

Pinterest

At the end of April, Buffer announced its partnership with Pinterest. Now, Buffer users can post and schedule pins more efficiently on Pinterest, simplifying content planning for users.

Twitter

Twitter and Google have reached an agreement to feature tweets in Google search results. While there have been some initial tests, there is no clear timeline yet for when Google will fully implement this integration.

Facebook

On its blog, Facebook introduced Hello, an app connected to Facebook that lets you see who’s calling you (even if the number isn’t saved), block unwanted contacts, and search for contact information of people or businesses.

Shortly after that, Facebook launched the Video Calling feature on Messenger. This feature allows calls between mobile phones, both Android and iOS. For now, Video Calling is only available in select countries across America and Europe.

Instagram

Exciting news for Instagram users! The photo-sharing app has added three new filters to enhance your photos. Additionally, Instagram now allows users to include emoji in hashtags, a feature that has been warmly received by the community.
